First demo and workshop soon

16th January 2020

This is week two of this term at Kirkcaldy Art Club. The children's class, Hot Pot Kids, is now full, and began this week on Monday.

All painting and pottery classes and the printing class have now started and new members will be settling in to their classes and getting to know people.

There are still a few places in the Monday morning printing class, 10 am - 12 noon, and also in the Wednesday evening painting class, 7-9 pm. Both classes welcome beginners and also people with experience. It is not too late to join. If interested just get in touch through our website, kirkcaldyartclub .co.uk or by email at kirkcaldyartclub@outlook.com. If you have any queries re costs or about the classes, Morag Allan, can be contacted on 01592 267641.

Our programme of demos and workshops begin soon. Pottery tutor and ceramicist, Wayne Galloway, will lead the first demo in the pottery on Thursday, 23rd January, 7-9 pm, when he will demonstrate his skills and techniques in 'How to produce a smooth pot'.

On Sunday 26th January, 1-4 pm, Stirling based artist , Peter Russell, will lead a workshop in Mixed Media, 'Collage with Printing.' This will be in the painting studio.

Demos are free to all members, but workshops have a fee to cover costs. Looking forward to early February Chi Zhang, a renowned Chinese Brush artist and calligraphy specialist, will share his expertise with us in a demonstration which will be relevant to members in pottery and painting classes. This will take place in the painting studio on Sunday 2nd February, 2-4 pm.
