Last weekend on Saturday 15th June local artist, Irene Thomson, led a sketching / painting class at Lower Largo. The weather was quite good letting the six people taking part to work hard producing their sketches and paintings of the area.
This week the final summer class takes place at Dysart Harbour. 'Art at the Harbour' will be led by another local artist, Bill Bruce, on Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th June, 10am- 3pm. These classes are now full. Participants include art club members and also some from two other art groups, one from Kirkcaldy and the other from Glenrothes.
Meanwhile, in the club itself, some of our members are working on paintings for East Weymss Care Home. This project is to help decorate some of the corridor walls. There will be four large canvases depicting a landscape of the area, a mining theme, a view through a window and the inside of a tool shed. An exciting project with the members painting on canvases much larger than they are used to.
