Join one of our upcoming painting classes

This week at Kirkcaldy Art Club some of the summer term classes ended. Participants in Dorothy Black's painting class have greatly enjoyed experimenting with all the different techniques, and also trying out using the mangle/ 'printing press'. Participants in Vicky Coull's mixed media class used leaves to print on pastel colours of acrylic paint this week. They brought work completed over the previous three weeks and set up a mini exhibition, which displayed a wide range of bold, exciting work. Pottery classes also ended with items currently being fired in the art club or waiting to be fired soon in an oil drum at the Raku outdoor firing weekend. The Tuesday afternoon and evening classes have also now finished and will have a break. Summer term classes still to take place include a two day painting class led by May Snaddon. This class will be looking at the use of colour and can be done in acrylics or oils, 'Painting with the wrong colours'. The class will take place on Monday 27th and Thursday 30th May, 10am - 3 pm each day. The fee for this class is £18. On Saturday 1st June, 10am - 3pm, Irene Thomson will lead an outdoor painting / sketching class in picturesque Falkland. The fee for this class is £9. Then, on Saturday 15th June, 10 am -3 pm, this time in a coastal location, Irene will lead another outdoor class in Lower Largo. Again the fee is £9. The final outdoor / sketching class will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, 18th and 19th June, 10 am - 3 pm, in Dysart, 'Art at the Harbour', led by Bill Bruce. The fee for each day is £9. The children's class, Hot Pot Kids has two more days, Monday 27th May and Monday 10th June.
