Still time to sign up for summer classes

Kirkcaldy Art Club is having a short break before our summer term classes begin. This gives a chance to begin planning the programme of demonstrations and workshops for the new session from September. Soon, from Monday, 15th April, all pottery classes will begin again for six weeks. Some new members will be joining the classes, trying to throw pots and handbuilding to see if pottery is something they would like to take further in the future. Some members will be continuing their work and others will be working on Raku, working towards the Raku weekend, when their work will be fired outdoors in an oil drum, an exciting time for all. The Tuesday afternoon and evening painting classes will also continue for another six weeks. There are some spaces in pottery classes and in the Tuesday afternoon class for anyone who would like to try something new. In addition there will be two four weeks classes, a printing class on Monday mornings and a mixed media painting class on Thursday afternoons. Later in May there are more painting classes, including outdoor painting/sketching classes at Dysart Harbour, Falkland and Lower Largo. There will also be a two day class, painting with May Snaddon. All these classes are suitable for beginners and for those with more experience. Details for all classes can be found on our website kirkcaldyartclub.co.uk also by email from kirkcaldyartclub@outlook.com or from Morag Allan on 01592 267641.
