Weekly news with pics from our pottery

Time is passing by as this is now the second half of this term. Classes are still progressing well and we have gained a few more members in painting classes. Later this week the weekend is very busy. Heather Gilbert, pottery tutor, will lead a workshop in' Printing on Clay', on Sunday 24th February, 10.30 am - 2.00pm. Then, upstairs in the painting studio, at 2.00pm, again on Sunday, Fife artist, Vicky Coull, will demonstrate her skills and techniques in 'Watercolour with texture' with a quirky approach. This will be an interesting approach, which we can all try out at a later time. There will be another workshop led by Heather Gilbert as the first one is fully booked. Details for this second workshop will be available soon. On Sunday 10th March, 1.00 - 4 pm, there will be another two workshops. Pat Bray will lead a workshop in Life Drawing and Simon Ward will lead a workshop in designing a personalised mug a busy afternoon at Hot Pot Wynd. In a few weeks it will be our annual exhibition, this year, within the art club. Preparations are already taking place for this event which involves members preparing their work to be exhibited, posters being displayed around the town, plans for setting up and many other challenges. It is a great way to end the term.

Below some photos of our Monday Morning Pottery class, members hard at work!
