Last Sunday, 11th November, Fife artist Ann Watson led our second workshop of the term, 'Painting with acrylics, texture and acrylic inks'. Ann brought a variety of her work with her showing us the range of subjects, variety of techniques and vibrant colours she used. She began by referring to photographs, insisting these were a rough guide to subject and composition. She then demonstrated her free style approach throughout the session, using a range of textures, gels, collage, acrylic inks and paint to form a bright and colourful painting. Ann encouraged us to experiment with texture and colour which resulted in the production of an amazing variety of art work by the end of the session (review from Cath McGovern ).
Now in our second last week many of our members are working hard towards our Christmas Art and Craft Fair which takes place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November, 11 am - 4 pm each day. On offer will be a wide range of handmade items, all produced by art club members, including paintings, pottery, jewellery, glass, cards, notebooks and so much more, perhaps that unique gift for Christmas. Tea & coffee and cakes will also be available.
