On Sunday 9th September Kirkcaldy Art Club was busy with many visitors, including children who were looking forward to the activities in the pottery, making items with clay and other arty things. This was because Kirkcaldy Art Club participated, once again, in Doors Open. This is a national event run by the Scottish Civic Trust, which, along with Scottish Archaeology Month, takes place throughout Scotland in September and are part of European Heritage days. Visitors were from America, Germany, County Durham and also from the local area, and also some previous members who came to say hello. Some visitors were so interested they joined the club and others expressed interest and went away with details of classes with spaces so they could have time to choose. However the painting studio and pottery are now back to the usual layout, ready for the start of all classes next week, beginning from Monday 17th September. There are still some places left in painting classes. Anyone interested can find details of spaces in classes and fees on our website www.kirkcaldyartclub.co.uk/classes also on our Facebook page, and also by email: kirkcaldyartclub@outlook.com
