Doors Open Sunday 9th September

This Sunday, 9th September, 11-4pm, it is 'Doors Open' at Kirkcaldy Art Club in Hot Pot Wynd, Dysart. The Art Club is one of several buildings in Central Fife open to visitors. The building itself, once the old laundry of the Carmelite Monastery, was bought by the Art Club in 1970 and then restored. It now has a fine painting studio and an excellent ell-equipped pottery. This is an opportunity to see art club members demonstrating their skills and techniques in the painting studio. In the pottery there will be activities for children - this is always very popular. Members' work will be on view, and also for sale, including paintings, ceramics, jewellery, cards, notebooks and other craft items. Teas, coffees, soft drinks and home baking will also be on offer in the painting studio. A stairlift is available for easy access to the upstairs painting studio. The following week all classes begin from Monday 17th September. Following enrolment there are no spaces left in pottery classes but there are still some places available in painting classes. Information on classes, fees and spaces can be found on our website, kirkcaldyartclub.co.uk and also on our Facebook page, and by email on kirkcaldyartclub@outlook.com
