Enrolment for the new session, 2018-2019, at Kirkcaldy Art Club takes place this coming Monday and Tuesday, 3rd and 4th September at Hot Pot Wynd, Dysart. On Monday it is 2-3 pm and 7-8 pm, and on Tuesday it is 7-8 pm.
The following Sunday, 9th September, it is DOORS OPEN at Kirkcaldy Art Club, 11 am - 4pm in Hot Pot Wynd. The art club is one of several buildings in Central Fife open to visitors on Sunday 9th September. The building itself, once the laundry for the Carmelite Monastery, was bought by Kirkcaldy Art Club in 1970 and then restored. It now has a fine painting studio and an excellent, well equipped pottery. This is an opportunity to see art club members demonstrating their skills and techniques in the painting studio. In the pottery there will be activities for children, always popular. Members work will be on view, and also for sale, including paintings, ceramics, jewellery, cards, notebooks and other craft items. Teas, coffees, soft drinks and home baking will also be on offer in the painting studio. A stairlift is also available for easy access to the upstairs painting studio.
The following week, beginning Monday 17th September, all classes begin. Anyone interested in joining the art club can find out more about classes, fees, etc, on our website, kirkcaldyartclub.co.uk/classes, also on our Facebook page and further information can be had by email on kirkcaldyartclub@outlook.com and also from Morag Allan on 01592 267641.
