Time to put our feet up

Summer school classes are now all over for this year. Both pottery and painting classes all went very well and the weather was mainly very good, which was important for the Raku firing and the outdoor painting classes. Now, at Kirkcaldy Art Club, there is a programme of work being done there, upgrading the central heating system throughout the building, further electrical work being done in the painting studio, and then there will be a lime wash done in the pottery to improve the surface of the walls. All these measures will improve the quality of the surroundings within the art club, and it will be ready for the new term, starting in September. Enrolment will take place in early September, on Monday and Tuesday, 3rd and 4th September. Present members who have already prebooked their present class will need to complete this process by August 1st. Further information re enrolment, classes and membership fees will be available nearer the time in August, in the local newspapers, online on our website, www.kirkcaldyartclub.co.uk and on our Facebook page. We all plan to have a lovely summer now. For those members who are planning to visit St Andrews over the summer St Andrews Art Club is having its exhibition in Argyle Street from July 14th until July 20th, daily 10am - 5pm, except Sundays, 12 noon - 5pm.
