Now that classes have finished for this term the art club is a bit less busy. Untutored painting will continue on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, 2-4 pm until June, and the craft group too, on Wednesday mornings, 10 - 12 noon. After the school Easter Holidays, we have an interesting programme of 'summer school' classes taking place from mid April until mid June. In the pottery there will be a six week course of classes, including Raku for more experienced potters, starting from Monday 16th April. There are a few spaces available on Wednesday afternoons, 2-4 pm. On Tuesday mornings, 10-12.30 pm, starting from 17th April a printing class, tutored by Colin Beaumont, will run for four consecutive weeks. This very popular class is now full, but perhaps we might manage to arrange a printing class again in the future. On Tuesday afternoons, 2-4 pm, from 17th April for six consecutive weeks, Catherine Lindow, one of our tutors, will lead a class involving sketching outdoors and then developing the sketches into paintings. There are two spaces left in this class. May Snaddon, another tutor has issued a painting challenge - ' Can you do two paintings in two days?' This can be done in acrylics or oils, or both. The two days are Monday 23rd April and Thursday 26th April, 10 am - 3 pm. There are four spaces in this class. Another of our tutors, Irene Thomson, is going to lead two outdoor painting classes. The first will be ' Painting in Picturesque Pittenweem, on Saturday 26th May, 10 am - 2 pm. There are three places left in this class. The second of Irene's classes will be 'Painting in the garden at Glassmount House. This famous garden is part of Scotland's Gardens Scheme. This will take place on Saturday 2nd June, 1 - 5 pm, and there are two places left. Finally, local artist, Bill Bruce will lead 'Art at the Harbour', sketching and painting around Dysart Harbour. This will take place on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th June, 10 am- 3 pm. People can sign up for one day or the other, or both. There are still places for this class.
