On Saturday 10th February some of the pottery members met at Kirkcaldy Art Club to view DVDs of well known potters /ceramicists. These very informative DVDs provided an insight to their lives and work, including their particular techniques and skills, including 'decorating'.
This coming weekend, Sunday 18th February, 2-4 pm, Dorothy Black, a Fife artist based at her studio in Markinch, will demonstrate her skills and techniques in painting ' Big Flowers using Acrylics and Mixed Media'.
The following weekend, Sunday 25th February, 1-4 pm, Ann Watson, one of the East Neuk artists, will lead a workshop in 'Developing a Painting using Acrylics, Acrylic Inks. Ann, a very busy artist, is one of the winners in the most recent Shell Exhibition.
Preparations are, at present, being made for Kirkcaldy Art Club's annual exhibition which will open on Saturday 3rd March at Kirkcaldy Galleries.
