Kirkcaldy Art Club, based in Hot Pot Wynd, Dysart, is preparing for the new session. It begins with enrolment on Monday 3rd September, 2-3 pm and 7-8 pm, then again on Tuesday 4th September, 7-8 pm. The first event of the session is Doors Open, on
Sunday 9th September, 11 -4 pm. Kirkcaldy Art Club is one of several buildings in Kirkcaldy open to visitors. This is an opportunity to see this very old building, once the laundry for the Carmelite Monastery. Kirkcaldy Art Club bought this building in 1970 and restored the building completely, and is now home to a fine painting studio and an excellent, well equipped pottery. Visitors will see artists 'at work', both in the painting studio and in the pottery. Also in the pottery will be activities for children. Members' work will be on view, and for sale, including paintings, ceramics, jewellery, cards, notebooks and other craft items. Teas, coffees and snacks will also be on offer in the painting studio. A stairlift is available for easy access to the upstairs painting studio. The following week, beginning Monday 17th September, all classes begin. Anyone interested in joining Kirkcaldy Art Club can find out more on classes on our website, kirkcaldyartclub.co.uk This year there are spaces on all classes and further information can be had from kirkcaldyartclub@outlook .com or from Morag Allan on 01592 267641.
